Setting Specific mini goals

minxycat added an entry about lose weight : If I can accomplish the following mini goals I will achieve my first medium goal. Lose an average of two pounds each week until June 13 and I will be at 13o, my first medium goal. So by this coming Friday, May 30th I need to be down to 134. I did so well today and I can’t wait to weigh myself tomorrow to see if this first mini goal is realistic. Then I’ll have the rest of the summer to average just a pound of weight loss a week in order to reach my big goal of 120 by the end of August. A pound a week doesn’t sound like much but any more than that is just not realistic. The closer you get to your optimal weight the slower the weight comes off. Anyway this is totally doable and I will be wearing those paisley cords back to school and the pink cords at some point over the summer. I think the pink cords are bigger than the paisley. Good news! Tomorrow I’m wearing these really nice black pants I’ve had tucked away for a few years with a new top. Wonder if anyone will notice I’ve lost over ten pounds.
