Harmless Dilettante added an entry about Lose Weight : I made a renewed commitment to my diet on the 1st of the year. I didn’t lose anything really in 2009. I think it was a side effect of some strange meds my new doctor put me on back then. It took me an insane amount of time to make the ‘medication = side effect = more of me to love’ connection.
This is the recipe for the light potato appetizer I took to the cookie exchange party . It works great as a make-ahead appetizer (just broil before you want to serve them) or as a side dish for brunch or dinner. I love that you can make these the night before you need them! The original recipe called for pork bacon, a tablespoon of bacon grease, and regular cream cheese and cheddar cheese. I used turkey bacon, 2 teaspoons of olive oil instead of bacon grease, light cream cheese and reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese. These were really yummy. I am definitely not going to wait until another party invitation to make these again!

Since I exercise a lot, a Nutrisystem counselor advised me to toss in another protein and maybe another fruit serving. Maybe I’ll eat another one of their packaged dinners for lunch? For some reason, I have about three boxes worth left over from previous months. Hopefully, my amazing weight loss won’t be due to food poisoning. For some bizarre reason, Nutrisystem doesn’t put expiration dates on their boxes.

nyx86 added an entry about lose weight : Hi everyone hope you all had a great xmas and a wonderful new year… I was hoping I could get some advice with my weight lose issue I have been changing my lifestyle since the 1st of January 2010 And I have made some considerable changes for example I never snack between meals and I excersise for at least 1/2 hour each day if not more I have cut out all refined and processed foods sticking to only eating wholemeal and oatgoods as well as fresh veg. If I do eat anyting fried I never add oil and i keep the product itself to a minimum I only drink skimmed milk (the lowest fat milk you can get) I never add sugar, honey or sweetners to my drinks and also I do not and any form of fat spreads or butters to my bread.

I’m pretty happy with myself that the changes in my body are showing already. Now I am aware of the fact that I might not lose as much in the upcoming weeks because the first pounds are water weight and then I’ll be building my muscles so it might even go back up a bit before it starts going down again. But I’m sticking to my new regimen no matter what!
