Aging Process Slowed Down If You Run Regularly

Regular running slows the effects of aging, according to a new study from Stanford University School of Medicine that has tracked 500 older runners for more than 20 years. Elderly runners have fewer disabilities, a longer span of active life and are half as likely as aging nonrunners to die early deaths, the research found. "The study has a very pro-exercise message," said James Fries, MD, an emeritus professor of medicine at the medical school and the study's senior author.

A HELL OF A NIGHT

rgioc added an entry about lose weight : Urgghh. It wasn’t so much the food it was the fact I had a drunken night and feel crappy. I had 3 cigarettes last night. I gave up 4 years ago and it was the hardest thing ever. Feel pretty angry with myself. I got home about 2.45am and I was in work for 7am. I am running on zero right now. On the food front, been pretty healthy and even though I had a few drinks last night I danced a lot.

hell of a good update

xxwednesdayxxx added an entry about lose weight : finally PERMENENTLY broke my plateau and i’m happy to say i’ve lost some more weight! Stats: sw:204 cw:187.8 gw:110 So over all i’ve lost 16.2 pounds. Not as much as I would have hoped for 7 weeks and 5 days. But I was stuck at the same weight for almost 3 weeks. So 4 weeks of actual effort has lost the 16.2 pounds. I want to be 180 by August 31st. By January 15th, my birthday, I want to be 140. Thats another 47 pounds in 5 months. I think I can do it. Don’t you? So wish me luck! Good luck to you guys too! :) xx wednesday
