Lost 1.5 stone

rosiesunlight added an entry about lose weight : I have lost 1.5 stone since Christmas. This wasn’t from dieting however. I was ill after Christmas with tonsilitis, then developed this skin rash called Pityriasis Rosea which spread to most of my body and arms. This made me tired, emotional and predominantly have no appetite, hence the weight loss. It took over 4 months for the rash to disappear altogether. It was a strange way to lose weight, but worth it in the long run as everyone recently have been telling me how well I look now; I feel healthier for losing over 20 pounds, full of energy and sexier. I now weigh under 10 stone (140 pounds) for the first time since before I had children (over 12 years!) and am a British size 10-12, so am by no means skinny (and I don’t want to be) but I think I am just right now. I am so happy.

A small miracle...

wannabemore added an entry about lose weight : Last night I went out for dinner. I ordered fish and broccoli instead of the club stacker with fries. And lo and behold…I got FULL halfway through!! This from the girl who everyone jokes can outeat anyone. It’s amazing what eating non-refined foods for a few weeks can do. I think I might be starting to look a little better, too.

i am such a DUMBASS

stronglady added an entry about lose weight : well, despite all the wonderful advice i’ve received from you ladies, despite all the info i’ve learned from research on the web, and despite how wonderful i feel doing ‘the right thing’, i’m going back to what i knew before. it’s like a demon that won’t leave. i’m not asking for sympathy or advice – i’m just venting. so i’m going to restrict myself to anywheres (i’m so hick) between 300 and about 700 calories a day. i super duper know it’s wrong, and i know that i’ll either fail or die trying, but i’ve got some screws loose in my noggin and doing this just feels like home – that’s the best way i know how to say it. anyhoot, even if i don’t care enough about myself to care for myself, any advice or encouragement i give to any of you will be good advice – advice leaning towards the right, healthy way of losing weight. i will probably post about any weight that i lose, but if anyone sees it and thinks ‘oh i’m going to do what she’s doing’ just keep in mind, anyweight i lose like this is probably water, muscle, or bone and will just pile back on as quickly as it can once i give in to temptation. sorry for the long post – i can’t help but be honest to such wonderful people who are all so supporting. thank you for all your help back when i was hear under a different name

Don’t get me wrong, I love my fruits and vegetables, but fastfood always shows up… I really should go out and just buy fruits in vegetables… Maybe see how this goes in a week or two.
