Just finish it! added an entry about lose weight : I honestly haven’t excersized in like 3 weeks and I feel absolutely horrible. I have to breath hard after I walk up a flight of stairs and it is so embarrassing. My clothes are too tight now. God this sucks. This is what happens when I don’t go on 43T for a while! God why do I do this? You know how people make mistakes and learn? I don’t think that I do that. At least not when it comes to weight loss/procrastination. I have been really distracted lately. (because of the crush on my teacher. At first I did really good in his class because I wanted to impress him but now I just can’t concentrate). I just need to refocus again. And not stress and not worry and lose weight. I just need to get on track again. I have to stop overthinking it and just DO IT already. Concert in like two weeks and I want to at least FEEL good. I’m procrastinating right now. back to social (keep thinking about my dang teacher)

It's an unfortunate fact backed by studies of former professional football and soccer players: injury to joint cartilage escalates the risk of developing of osteoarthritis (OA). However, why this occurs - the details of how joint cartilage cells respond to acute trauma and how this response leads to progressive cartilage degradation - remains open to investigation.
"Obesity doubles the risk of Alzheimer's" is the headline in the Daily Express. It and other news sources report new research which found that people who are obese have an increased risk of all types of dementia. Being underweight "increased the risk of any kind of dementia by 36 per cent, while being obese increased it by 42 per cent. For Alzheimer's disease, being obese increased the risk by 80 per cent", the newspaper says.
The radioactive carbon-14 produced by above-ground nuclear testing in the 1950s and '60s has helped researchers determine that the number of fat cells in a human's body, whether lean or obese, is established during the teenage years. Changes in fat mass in adulthood can be attributed mainly to changes in fat cell volume, not an increase in the actual number of fat cells.
If you haven't yet read Michael Pollan's "In Defense of Food, An Eaters Manifesto" - I highly recommend it. In my opinion it is one of the most important books written on diet and nutrition. A few months back, I drew a summary of Pollan's main points in a 2 part article (here and here). I'm going to elaborate on...
I was saddened to read how girls as young as five start thinking of fat as undesirable and skinny as good (in the Times newspaper as part of response to a question sent in by a mother who was anxious that her three year old was developing a poor body image.)...
andarta added an entry about lose weight : After my break yesterday and the pizza I went back to the gym. I’m a bit worried that I don’t eat enough because I’m eating healthy and without meat. If I start counting I’m gettin under 1000 kalories. Not that good. Any tipps? I don’t want to start eating chips in the evening and I’m honestly starting to think that maybe I need less kalories than others. Workout in the gym was great. I started to integrate a bit of yoga and strength. I did yoga some time ago but now, everything is gone. My contract for the gym ends this month so I have to find an alternative. I would like to start running and maybe one of you guys knows a good programm to start running with exercises in the gym?! My weight is about 195lb so it’s not that healthy if I just start running.
Marc added an entry about Lose weight : In the last two or three months, I’ve dropped something like 15 pounds. Let’s try to keep it off, and keep exercising!
Breathe added an entry about lose weight : So I lost 10 pounds, but now I’m stuck for a long time, and still have 20 to go. I eat healthy and exercise. I guess I have to eat healthier and exercise more. Any suggestions?

xBadaBingx added an entry about Lose Weight : Ok,today is Day 1! I have been on a medication for the past couple months that causes extreme bloating and water weight. Also stomach cramps. I am off the medication and the pain has subsided (it made running very uncomfortable). I offically bought new running shoes, sports bras, shorts, and am ready to go!!! I went grocery shopping yesterday and spent over $200 on healthy food (the cost of fruit and veggies is outragous now). I need to tone up by mid-July when I go to Las Vegas for my sisters birthday!
To get the perfect consistency and flavor, use butter. No doubt It makes the best liver pate. The basic recipe to prepare duck or chicken pate is to brown the livers in butter, deglaze with brandy, dry white wine or...
Obesity rates appear high in most but not all ethnic groups in the United States, and extra weight is associated with cardiovascular risk factors and markers of sub-clinical heart disease, according to a report in the May 12 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals. The United States, along with many other countries, is experiencing an epidemic of obesity, according to background information in the article.
