It's always darkest before dawn...

gibbymcgee21 added an entry about lose weight : It’s sad that food can consume so much of a person’s thoughts, sometimes completely overwhelmingly. I’m sad that it has become such a coping mechanism for me in dealing with my frustrations and insecurities, but I think I’m starting to feel better about it, ten pounds later of course. I just need to get to the point where I can respect myself again. But ultimately, I need to have healtier habits, which are so hard to develop. I’d like to develop a healthier, more stable relationship with food…I’m a vegan and don’t eat very unhealthily…just A LOT , especially when I’m upset or stressed out or seemingly for no reason at all. Does anyone else have this problem???? How have you learned to get through it? In reality, while losing the weight I’ve gained is the short term goal, I need to change some habits that I’ve held on to for way to long.

CelestiHel added an entry about lose weight : I have to lose at least 100 pounds, and to be technically not overweight at all, 120 pounds. I’ve tried a few times and have been fat my whole life, so that doesn’t bespeak a huge effort. I think that’s good because at nearly 30 I still don’t think it’s impossible. I joined weight watchers and that’s a start.

Tough Day, Stuff Happens.

lila_jane added an entry about lose weight : I woke up today tired and grumpy. Breakfast was 2 poached eggs with salsa and an apple. Lunch was a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with mustard, sprouts, tomatoes, onions and on the side, a small salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Dinner was steamed salmon and green beans. I didn’t go to the gym, but it’s okay. I came home from study group and listened to the Think and Shrink Program and it helped me relax. Went to a party and saw my ex-boyfriend. It was icky, but I’m okay now.

A landmark study conducted in London, Canada at The University of Western Ontario and Lawson Health Research Institute shows that a routinely practiced knee surgery is ineffective at reducing joint pain or improving joint function for sufferers of osteoarthritis. The study appears in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Frugal Friday: It Pays To Compare Prices

Maybe you're like me and on a typical week you might have a few different stores you frequent to collect the groceries you need and want. I go to a regular chain grocery store near my house for some items, but I usually hit Trader Joe's once every week or two. Well yesterday, while making my biweekly run to Trader Joe's, I noticed that their egg substitute product (Nulaid ReddiEgg 16-ounce carton) was $1.99. WOW! I happen to know that the same size carton of Egg Beaters (my favorite brand) is around $4.00. I know this because I always groan - because of the price and the fact that it's almost NEVER on sale - when I put it in my shopping cart.

~*~ lori ~*~ added an entry about lose weight : So I’m still eating healthy-ish but not losing any weight at all due to the fact that I haven’t done any exercising in at least a month. I keep making excuses like; I’m tired, I’m too busy with school work and homework, when in actuality I just don’t want to do it! I need to suck it up and just do it. Exercise and get back to healthy eating. I had junk food this past week acouple times and that’s all I need to throw me right off the weight loss train. I need to ignore the food my brother brings into this house and continue on my healthy journey. I WAS doing so good!

SERIOUSLY ! i’ll eat normally, just with maybe ONE night of pizza and frozen yogurt thrown in vs. THREE :/ lol :)

I finally started...

reneelynn added an entry about lose weight : I joined a gym about two weeks ago when I found out my insurance company covers it (thank you insurance!). So far I have lost 8lbs, well as of Wednesday at least. I only weigh myself at the gym. If I had a scale at home I’d be crazy with it. I also started keeping better track of my nutrition and joined sparkpeople.com, which is a great free way to track your fitness and daily food intake, amongst other things. So hopefully I will stick with this for the long run, which is usually where I come into problems.

lostdusk added an entry about lose weight : Today was another ‘rest’ day’ I walked a little more than on an average day, but not too much. Tomorrow I plan to cycle for about 40 minutes, but it’ll only be a light cycle, saturday is a half rest half exercise day. Maybe I’ll add a walk in later, make it a full workout day. Today: Breakfast – ready brek and an apple snack – sunflower seeds lunch – 4 ryvita, cereal bar, mini babybell light, raisons, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, mushrooms Later – glass of milk Dinner – 3 hash browns, 2 quorn sausages, baked beans, frozen berries and naural yoghurt.
