mkkatt added an entry about Lose weight : Well my 2nd week at the gym is done. I have for 2 weeks, gotten up at 4:40am, worked out, then went to work. I work out 6 days a week. My goal is to lose weight, of course, but also NOT TO GAIN WEIGHT ! Well I weighed myself today and while I did not lose any weight, I did not gain any weight either, so thats good. I really need to work on my 2nd goal of eating better. That way I can lose weight. I plan to follow a diabetic diet. I EVEN bought a book (please do not roll your eyes here). It has been shown that people who have fat around their midsection can develop type 2 diabetes. It has to do with the body becoming resistance to its own insulin. And since diabetes pretty much can wreck a person up (If they don not take care of themselves) then I think a little preventative maintenance would be good!
VolFanGrl added an entry about lose weight : this one is highest on my list because I have to do this to live longer. I have a lot of health problems, some are due to my weight, others to genetics, but, I want to get healthy. I need to get healthy.
etherealillusion added an entry about lose weight : The thing about me is that when I lose weight I get complacent. Then I revert back to my old eating habits and of course…the weight kicks in again. After I lost weight, I started telling myself it was okay to allow for a little weight gain and that was always my excuse whenever I ate something sinful. This time, it’s really gone out of control. I’m gaining weight like nobody’s business! During the past week or so my class had this mass baking almost every other day because we had to raise funds for the school and while helping out I couldn’t help but pinch all the fattening goodies…you should see the ingredients that went in! Within a week I gained like 2kg! I am so horrified! It took me that long to lose all the weight and to think I’ve gained in back in just one week!

You may not be surprised to learn that as our waistlines have increased, so have the sizes of our plates. Get our your plate and measure its diameter with a ruler—don’t eyeball it. If your plate is bigger than 9 inches, put it back on the shelf and get a new one!
