When cancer and its treatments leave a patient with a relentless weariness of body and mind, exercise might help, according to a new review of studies.The meta-analysis of 28 studies of cancer-related fatigue found that exercise is more effective at combating the problem than the usual care provided to patients."A lot of the time, the medical response to patients is that they should expect to be fatigued, that it is a normal side effect.

Burning off a lot of calories

zonecoach added an entry about Lose Weight : but not translating to weight loss in 4 days have worked out a total of almost 8 hours! Saturday – burned off 2100 calories Sunday – 2200, Monday – 1200 and yesterday 1400 I have eaten pretty sensibly also but this has translated to 0 lbs in weight loss. Our bodies can be hard to read.

I’m going to be REALLY busy today, so I can’t go to the gym, but I’m gonna be on my feet the whole day, so I’ll be moving a lot. Only one day until I go on vacation!

For the sake of honesty, I have gained fifty pounds since I graduated from college. FIFTY FREAKING POUNDS !!! That’s…well, that’s a lot of things, one of them being UNREAL . And unwanted. But I’m done with complaining about it and now I’m going to act. Some of the ways I’m going to attack it are listed as other “Things” (like spending more time awake, not eating after 7pm, etc.) but one specific thing I’ve done so far (as of 4/15/08) is started a calorie journal. I want to cut the number of calories I consume each day, so I’m trying to keep a tally. I’m not planning on cutting back to 500 or something, but I do want to make sure I’m not consuming over the daily recommendation. This is day two, and so far so good; one for one.

Gained again!!!

Sadly that caused a little stress eating, but the problem is over and once again I have to gather all my foucus and try to lose more weight. I was making really good progress and it seems that I threw it all away

I’ve been so focussed on getting back where I was last year that I forgot to notice the progress I’ve been making. Today I’m wearing my skinny jeans, and it is a better fit. I’m gonna try not to get OVERLY excited because I know how much my weight fluctuates, and today I’m using my go out to eat once a week deal with my man! This morning I went for a walk/run to kick off my start for my 10K training. I made it for about 30 minutes. Not bad for just starting out! To tell you the truth I was going for an hour walk, and decided to run the downhills and walk the uphills in a park. I think I pushed myself too hard and ended up sick and dizzy, so I had to stop, which is why I only made it 30 minutes! But hey, I STARTED , and I’m not giving up!
