Dieting should be fun
SallyDavis added an entry about lose weight : Only lost 1kg (2.2lbs) last week – but the end of last week and the beginning of this one weren’t good… but thats ok, because Im really applying myself this month. I bought an elliptical trainer (x-trainer), its upsetting to find out just how unfit I am! I did 10mins yesterday and 13mins today… just adding a couple of mins each day until I reach about 40mins. I can’t expect to be running a marathon instantly!
Honeymeow added an entry about lose weight : I am on my 3rd week of Weight Watchers online. I have lost 2kg off my starting weight – although I really need some more accruate scales!! The points system is really easy to use and is flexible, so for example, this week I am saving some points so I can have a few drinks at a party on the weekend. Have been mainly using my crosstrainer for working out, plus a few weights and sit ups. I have borrowed Zumba DVDs so I am looking forward to giving it a go…
Sunaina added an entry about lose weight : Last night I got NO sleep at all. Which was completely ironic because I have been sleeping in for the past few days, knowing that I have no plans, but the one time I made plans, I couldn’t sleep. Anyways, those plans included hitting up uni early so that I could get some books. I checked out the fitness center that I’ll be spending loads of time in for these next 8 months. I actually made my schedule so that I can run 2x/week at the fitness center after classes and then on Saturdays @ the local gym. Weight-wise, I weighed myself out of curiosity and needless to say, I went up. Strangely, I didn’t really feel this gain and it was not by much. Ironically, my body has leveled back to 145ish and is maintaining that weight. It seems as though every time I get bellow this number, my body works it’s way back up to it. That’s definitely a sign of something…so that’s why I’m working towards toning up and gaining back the muscle definition that I have lost during all of this fasting. Today is the first day that I did not have any treats after breaking my fast. I felt like I had the munchies at first, but soon the cravings subsided. I have made a new goal of losing 5lbs/month for the next 4 months so that by the end of this semester, I’ll have lost 20lbs and should hopefully be at goal. This all sounds SO realistic and after looking back at my food journal from last year, I lost 6lbs in my first 3 wee ks of uni simply from the increase in walking and moving from class to class so much. As soon as fasting is over (which is by next week), I’ll hop onto my regular eating schedule. I plan on eating like this for the next month hopefully: B (@ 6:30-40am on 3 days and 10:30ish on 2 days): something with protein (ex. eggs, beans, cottage cheese), fibre (oatmeal), and fruit (so that I don’t feel hungry again during my 1 hour commute to campus) Snack – a light snack that I’ll eat after my first or second class (ex. 100 cal snack, banana, etc) L: some type of wholewheat sandwich or wrap w/ fillers like turkey/tuna/chicken D: whatever my mom makes at home (it’s always healthy…except for the white rice/pasta…on those days, I’ll make something myself)
scorpio_17 added an entry about lose weight : went for my first morning walk today…the one i’ve been postponing for a few yrs now…felt so amazing…explored a new park near my house…n also saw some deers there!!! i hope i continue doing it now that i’ve started…
sarrawr_ added an entry about lose weight : I added this goal to my list so that I can keep it as more of a journal of my weight loss journey, rather than the benchmarks I already have (weigh 73kg, weigh 70kg). I’m a bit of an extrovert, which means that for me to process things and dedicate myself fully to something I need to verbalise and externalise. My boss makes fun of me for it all the time. I’ll go into his office, rave about a problem, propose solutions, choose one myself and walk out without him saying a word. I think and process as words are coming out of my mouth.
allyloveperfectlove added an entry about lose weight : Study Week. Been procrastinating more than study – very bad. and procrastinating usually means eating. Chips, Skittles and a ham and cheese sandwitch (with both and gluten that i’m not meant to eat). Went for a walk yesterday and tried running and my knee flared up again and almost passed out in the gym today, so had to cut the session short. But today is a new day and I will try to do better! Im at uni so not the best food choices but I had breakfast (gluten free bread with advocado and spinach yum!) so hopefully i wont eat for a few hours and then go home for dinner.
Juva33 added an entry about lose weight : This morning weight was 71kg – 3kg to go. Did well today; exercised for 80 min and kept calories intake in control. Found out that oat is a good source of iron. yum, yum, I love porridge.
Garvost added an entry about lose weight : CW:143 HW:175 LW:100 height: 5’5 I want to lose more weight. So far I’ve lost 30 pounds by fasting and dieting. As soon as I get my license back I will begin exercising so that will help a lot…
Magicbeliever8 added an entry about lose weight : Arrg! I start dieting AGAIN .. Finally motivated to eat less and healthier, then i always end up going out to eat with my family, so i end up over eating. That’s the problem when i go out to eat, everything is so good and you feel bad if you leave it and finish it, then regret eating it all later. Or if you don’t finish it later you feel hungry and regret not eating it! Also, i’m always hungry although i think it’s mainly psychological, i always end up snacking.
